17. Draped in the Divine
Insight: Whatever one contemplates, one becomes like that. What we keep thinking about becomes firm within us.
On Sunday morning, 19 March 2023, beloved Guruji HDH Swamishri was travelling to Surendranagar with newly initiated sants. Seated in the car, Guruji asked the assistant sant, “Which sants are in the car?” The sant named the newly initiated sants.
Guruji asked them, “Sants, are these new saffron robes comfortable?” The sants replied, “Yes, Dayalu, they are comfortable.”
Guruji softly smiled and gave them the perspective of seeing parbhav even within avarbhav. He said, “Sants, these saffron robes are false. In fact, even this body is only the garment of the atma, which too is false. Do not reflect upon it and make it firm. We have been clothed in the true garment, the divine murti. Let us meditate and make that true garment firm.”
Saying this, He led everyone into meditation.
In this way, from Guruji’s divine vision, which connected even an ordinary worldly statement to parbhav, the newly initiated sants also received an excellent lesson.
Resolve: In every small and large matter of life, I will learn to bring in the seed of parbhav.
The ordinary becomes spiritual when the eye remembers the eternal
